The West Main Street Bridge over Alum Creek is an important crossing that connects the west side of the City of Westerville to Otterbein University and the Uptown District. Three parks incorporate the corners of the bridge along with a Senior Center and Alum Creek bike trail on the west side.

The Ohio State University student chapter of EWB returned to their project site of Las Pilitas in San Pedro Puxtla, El Salvador in early September. The purpose of the trip was to inspect the latrines constructed during their previous trip in March.

The ASCE Central Ohio Section Younger Members along with the Ohio Society of Professional Engineers Younger Members, Engineers Club of Columbus, and Central Ohio Chapter of ASHE would like to invite everyone to a post OTEC Happy Hour on Tuesday October 19, 2010 at It's Brothers Bar and Grill (477 Park Street) from 6- 8 p.m.

The new Inpatient Tower is a 13-story, 720,000 square-foot addition to Nationwide Children's Hospital. Initial design studies began early in 2007, and construction is scheduled for completion in 2012. Construction costs for the building (not including furnishings and medical equipment) will be in the range of $275 million.
