Joint Meeting w/ Ohio University Student Section

Topic: Construction of Nelsonville By-Pass

(Online registration and payment available, see bottom of page.)

As a major corridor for Ohio University students, Athens residents, and Ohio travelers, the Nelsonville By-Pass will offer an alternative route around the City of Nelsonville (approximately 14 miles NE of Athens). US-33 presently carries a substantial amount of interstate traffic between South Bend /Fort Wayne Indiana; Columbus, Ohio; and Charleston, West Virginia. When it is complete the By-pass will route the eighth busiest truck route in Ohio around Nelsonville and improve the connection between the Midwest, the East coast, and Appalachia.

The presentation will discuss current construction activities and the project’s overall scope.
