[ASCE YM] FW: 2011 Younger Member Employer Recognition Award

Hello all,

 

See the email below and attachment for information on nominating an
employer for the above-referenced award.  I have also listed a few YM
events that are coming up. 

 

May 11:  Social Event with ASCE National President-Elect Andrew
Herrmann.  The event will be held after work at the Varsity Club on OSU
campus.  Pizza will be provided.  Time TBA.

May ?:  After-work presentation on "Communication".  More details to
come.

June 4:  Stream cleanup at Griggs Reservoir (Arlington) as part of
Central Ohio River Pride (www.riverpride.org).  Cleanup is from 9am to
noon.  Meet at the Scioto Boat Club on the west side of the river.  Long
pants and closed-toe shoes are recommended.

June 24:  Central Ohio Section Golf Outing at Darby Creek Golf Course.

Summer:  Columbus Clippers baseball game.  More details to come.

Section/Branch Presidents and Younger Member Contacts:

The Committee on Younger Members is seeking nominations for the 2011
Younger Member Employer Recognition Award.  Please publicize this
announcement in your local newsletter, through your local e-mails, or on
your web site so your Younger Members are informed of the program.

The Employer Recognition Award was created to recognize employers who
support young engineers and assist with their personal development. CYM
also awards two Superior Employer Recognition Awards (one public, one
private) to the nominees who best display exemplary support of young
engineers in their organizations.  A list of winning organizations will
be submitted for inclusion in a Society publication and in the Younger
Member Newsletter.

Nominations must be postmarked by August 1, 2011.  The nomination form,
which describes the award in detail, is attached or available on the web
