Rich Street Bridge Precast/Prestressed Concrete Tour
Please join us for a complimentary tour of Prestress Services Industries, LLC’s Grove City plant as they make the prestressed/post-tensioned concrete beams and precast/post-tensioned concrete arches for the new Rich Street Bridge in downtown Columbus, Ohio. The new Rich Street Bridge will replace the earthen-filled concrete arch Town Street Bridge, built in 1917, with a modern, concrete rib-arch bridge composed of five spans over the Scioto River. The bridge is designed to complement the adjacent bridges and will include 10-foot sidewalks, three traffic lanes, and plazas on each bank.

Central Ohio’s Geology in Core and Outcrop Workshop
The Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Geological Survey and the Ohio Geological Society in cooperation with DLZ-Ohio, Inc., invite engineering and geoscience professionals to unravel the mysteries of the near-surface geology of central Ohio. Workshop attendees will earn professional development hours while learning about the diagnostic environmental and geologic characteristics; hydrogeologic properties; general engineering characteristics; potential environmental and geologic hazards; and economic uses for each mapped, geologic unit.

2010 OSU Civil Engineering PE Refresher Course
The OSU Civil Engineering PE Refresher Course will meet each Tuesday and Thursday evening from 7:30-10:30 for eight sessions beginning the 26th of January. Registration is required and must be completed at least two weeks in advance of the section starting date. Payment or contract must accompany application to ensure enrollment. All checks or money orders should be payable to The Ohio State University. If enrollment does not meet the minimum required, the course will be cancelled and all money will be refunded.
