We will be playing buzztime trivia<http://www.buzztime.com/buzztime-trivia.html> and appetizers will be provided.  I strongly encourage you to come out to the event - we are hoping to find some new Younger Members that want to get more involved as we try to plan some new educational outreach and community service projects.

I recently attended the Central Region Younger Member Council in Milwaukee which was a joint conference with the Section & Branch leaders and Student Chapters.  Representatives from Younger Member groups were able to get to together to share ideas and we were updated on ASCE from the national perspective as well.  I wanted to make everyone aware of ASCE's 3 strategic initiatives:  Sustainability<http://www.asce.org/sustainability/>, rehabilitating our nation's infrastructure<http://www.asce.org/Infrastructure/Infrastructure/>, and 'Raising the Bar<http://www.asce.org/PPLContentWide.aspx?id=23622321861>' (on educational requirements for licensure).  You have probably heard these initiatives at some point or another through emails or publications and I feel it's important to be informed on each of these as our regional governors have begun to solicit thoughts on these from a local perspective.
