Chris obtained his BS and MS in Civil Engineering from The Ohio State University, and has nine years of experience in civil and geotechnical engineering. Chris spent six years with ExxonMobil providing technical expertise for capital projects across their global network of refineries and chemical plants. Projects included soil improvement, excessive differential settlement, construction vibration near sensitive structures, slope stability, flood protection levees, crane foundations, lining technologies, marine terminal engineering, and blast resistant structural design.

After returning to the Midwest, Chris joined S&ME as a Project Manager providing subsurface investigations and geotechnical design services for oil/gas clients, commercial buildings, water and wastewater facilities, transportation projects, and industrial infrastructure. He has significant experience in forensic evaluations of landslides, and providing design recommendations for construction and/or stabilization of earthen slopes. Chris’ experience also includes ground improvement techniques including vibrocompaction, preloading, lightweight fill, reinforced earth, and soil stabilization, and design of both temporary and permanent earth retention systems including sheet pile, soldier pile and lagging, and drilled pier walls.

Chris has been a member of ASCE for 12 years, is a past Vice President of the OSU Student Chapter, and is a member of Chi Epsilon. He is registered as a Professional Engineer in Ohio, Texas, and Pennsylvania.
