Ohio University 5th Semi-Annual ASCE Golf Outing

Dear Ohio University Civil Engineering Alumnus, Faculty & Friends,

The Ohio University chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers would like to invite you to a student, faculty, and alumni 4-man golf scramble (Note friends of Alumni are welcome as well). This is a fundraising event developed to help finance our chapter’s many projects, competitions, and other activities.

When: Saturday, September 24th, 2011
Shotgun start at 9:00 am

Where: The Ohio University Golf Course in Athens, Ohio

Cost: Prices include greens fees w/ cart for 18 holes; snacks; beverages (pop, water); dinner and social afterward. (Broney’s Alumni Grill)

Alumni - $80 Faculty - $80 Students - $50

Prizes: Contests will include:
Scramble – 1st & 2nd place
Individual Long Drive
Individual Closest to the Pin
Individual Longest Putt

Prizes will be awarded to the winners complimentary of sponsors.

The ASCE fall social will follow the event later that night. You are invited to join in the food, fun, and drinks!

There will be 4 people per team – either register as a foursome or as a threesome and be paired with a student. There will be one scorecard per team. The teams will be created on a fair handicap basis with an even distribution of students, faculty, and alumni. If you wish to designate team members with whom you would prefer to play, you can list them on the attached registration form. Also, if you know of alumni, faculty, or friends who did not receive this invitation, please send them a copy. To encourage participation, we are asking that entrance fees be paid in advance by check (payable to “Ohio University ASCE”).

Also, we are looking for organizations to help sponsor this event. If your organization is interested in helping sponsor the event or donating prizes, please read and fill out the attached sponsorship form.

If you would like to participate in this golf outing, please fill out the attached registration form and send it back to us with your check preferably by Friday, September 9th, 2011.
