Ohio University Student Chapter Golf Outing

The Ohio University chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers would like to invite you to a student, faculty, and alumni 4-man golf scramble (Note friends of Alumni are welcome as well). This is a fund raising event developed to help finance our chapter’s many projects, competitions, and other activities.

When: Saturday, October 3rd, 2009
Check-in at 11:30 am
Shot-gun start at 12:00 pm

Where: The Ohio University Golf Course in Athens, Ohio

Cost: Alumni - $80, Faculty - $80, Students - $40, Social only - $10
(Prices include greens fees w/ cart for 18 holes; snacks; beverages (Beer, pop, water); dinner and social afterward.)

Prizes: Contests will include:
Scramble – 1st & 2nd place
Individual Long Drive
Individual Closest to the Pin
Individual Longest Putt
$5 Hit the Green

Prizes will be awarded to the winners complimentary of sponsors.

The ASCE fall social will follow the event later that night. The social will start at 6 pm with the location announced at the outing. You are invited to join in the food, fun, and drinks!

There will be one scorecard per team. The teams will be created on a fair handicap basis with an even distribution of students, faculty, and alumni. If you wish to designate team members with whom you would prefer to play, you can list them on the attached registration form, and friends of students, faculty, and alumni are invited to play in the scramble. Also, if you know of alumni who did not receive this invitation, please send them a copy. To encourage participation, we are asking that entrance fees be paid in advance by check (payable to “Ohio University ASCE”).

Also, we are looking for organizations to help sponsor this event. If your organization is interested in helping sponsor the event, please read and fill out the attached sponsorship form.
